Rajiv is a small Indian tank engine who participated in the Great Railway Show. He competed in, and won, the Best Decorated Engine Parade.
Rajiv was invited to take part in the Great Railway Show, and he and the other eleven engines who would be participating in the events were shipped to the Mainland on a ferry. He competed against Carlos, Yong Bao, James and Emily in the Best Decorated Engine parade, and was the winner of the event.
After the Great Railway Show ended, Rajiv left the Mainland and returned to India. (TVS; The Great Race)
Rajiv is based on the "Fairy Queen", a 2-2-2 tank engine built by Kitson and Company in Leeds, England for the East Indian Railway Company, and has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest operating steam locomotive in the world. Although his basis was built for broad gauge rails, Rajiv is scaled down to standard gauge, and is significantly smaller than his basis.
Rajiv is painted blue with gold lining, his boiler is black, and his dome is brass. His funnel is painted in the colours of the Indian flag - orange, white and green - while the bottom of his funnel is cyan. His bufferbeam is painted red with yellow lining, and his wheels are painted white. He is decorated with garland hanging from his funnel to his cab, his cab is decorated with yellow flags, and he carries two Indian flags on his cba roof.
