- "Do I look like a Gordon? My name is Frieda!"
Frieda is a streamlined German engine who participated in the Great Railway Show. She competed in the strength competition.
Frieda was invited to take part in the Great Railway Show, and she and the other engines who would be competing in the events were shipped to the Mainland on a ferry. However, the ship stopped on Sodor by mistake, and Frieda had to get back on the ship almost as soon as she had got off.
When Frieda had arrived at the Railway Show Venue, Thomas arrived at the yard and mistook her for Gordon due to their similar paintwork. Frieda scoffed at him and made her way over to the strength competition, in which she competed against Henry, Hiro, Shane and Vinnie. However, the winner of the event was left unknown.
After the Great Railway Show ended, Frieda left the Mainland and returned to Germany. (TVS; The Great Race)
Personality and Traits
Not much is known about Frieda's personality. However, when Thomas mistook her for Gordon, she appeared to irritated and replied to him sarcastically, suggesting that she could have a short temper.
- The German flag painted on Frieda's tender and streamlined casing is inaccurate to the real German flag, as the red and black bands are swapped around. This issue was amended on the Wooden Railway release.
